Ownership
The Beyer family agreed in June 2025 to sell to Cosonic, a Shenzhen-listed Dongguan contract manufacturer that builds for JBL, Soundcore, and Beats, for about EUR 122 million. Regulatory review took a year. The deal closed 10 June 2026 in Frankfurt at roughly USD 150 million. The company had been loss-making until 2024.

A contract manufacturer bought a premium brand to escape the component-margin trap and use its distribution. Management says German products stay handmade in Germany, but those are pre-close assurances, and consumer lines were already migrating to China before the sale. Four weeks post-close is too early for a verdict.
