NNormal

Trail-running brand founded 2022 by Kilian Jornet with Camper (the Fluxà family, Mallorca). Durability-first. The Kboix 01 ($240, ISPO Award 2024) has three interchangeable midsoles — the replaceable part is finally the part that dies.

Ownership

Joint venture between Kilian Jornet and Camper (Fluxà family, Mallorca); equity split undisclosed. B Corp certified. Name blends Norway (where Jornet lives) and Mallorca.

Why Approved

The honest exception in this Approved group: NNormal owns no factory — its shoes come from the same Asian contract system as everyone else's, and it says so, factory names published. Approved for building the repair infrastructure the majors abandoned: a lifetime repair guarantee, a trained resole network, and the Kboix's replaceable midsoles, which move the failure point back where the customer can reach it. Tested-asterisk: we have not tested the Kboix — it is on the buy-and-test list.

Reversibility

What would change our verdict

Repair guarantee quietly narrowed; transparency page pulled; Camper exiting the JV; Kboix midsole availability lapsing (a modular shoe without parts is a regular shoe).
