Founded 2009 by Jeff Denby and Jason Kibbey. Acquired 2011 by Revelry Brands, the Boulder consumer-products holding company of Brendan Synnott, a serial build-and-sell CPG operator (Bear Naked, EVOL, I and Love and You). Minority growth-equity stake from Sunrise Strategic Partners (Steve Hughes / Trilantic North America) in 2016. Synnott remains CEO and styles himself co-founder though he acquired rather than founded the company.

Certifications remain (GOTS, Fair Trade, carbon offset) but the deeper transparency that defined the brand has lapsed under ownership: no first-tier supplier list, no sustainability report, no supplier code of conduct, creeping synthetics in an organic line.
