Why Avoid
Sandpiper marketed gear under a flag logo reading "U.S. Made By S.O.C." The FTC alleged more than 95% of Sandpiper's products were imported as finished goods and that some wallets hid true origin information on the back of tags. The companies settled in 2019 under orders barring unqualified US-origin claims, with no payment.
