John Bloor bought the Triumph name in 1983 after the Meriden cooperative failed; the family still owns it. Nick Bloor is CEO.
Why Watchlist
Triumph's site runs a timeline from "1902: THE FIRST TRIUMPH" and calls Hinckley the "Home of Triumph". The current company dates from John Bloor's 1983 purchase of the name. In 2020 Triumph moved volume production to Thailand, and its 400cc models are built by Bajaj Auto in India; it sold 134,635 bikes in 2024.
