Launched 2019 by Resident Home as the "natural" mattress brand in the Resident Home portfolio (which also includes Nectar and DreamCloud). Resident Home is majority-owned by Sixth Street Partners (PE).
Why Avoid
Marketed to natural-materials consumers as an alternative to Avocado, Naturepedic, and other independent latex brands. Ownership structure is identical to Nectar and DreamCloud: PE roll-up. The natural-materials positioning is real, but the structural ownership is the same as the synthetic-foam sibling brands. Buying Awara funds the same parent that operates Nectar and DreamCloud.
